Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow is a university level examination board for the academic programs such as engineering, management, pharmacy and architecture. Eligibility also differs by departments – for BTech courses like Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, and so on, the common requirement is a 12th or its equivalent pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC). Vocational admission tests such as UPTU/JEE mains are acceptable. For MBA the eligibility criteria involve the minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. This requires 45% in any 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology for courses such as BPharma. BArch expects 50% aggregate in 12th or equivalent and 50% marks in Mathematics and NATA passed.
Some of the courses offered by AKTU under the stream of Engineering and Technology in the form of BTech, MTech, MBA, MCA, BPharma and MPharma in various specializations. This is why the management stream includes subjects of marketing, finance, HR, etc., pharmacy includes subjects like pharmacology, clinical research, etc., and architecture involves topics like construction of the building, town planning, etc. AKTU entrance exam 2024 will be conducted in January 2024. JEE Mains, GPAT, NATA shall be referred as eligibility tests while UPSEE shall be considered as first choice. The counseling process usually follows immediately after the declarations of results. Seat is allocated in accordance with merit and preference for the respective program/college. The academic session for 2024 admissions would probably begin on or around 17th August in AKTU colleges.

Online application process can be done by visiting the www.aktu.ac.in website. At the homepage there is the link of admission at the right side choose the program you want to apply. Ensure you read through the instruction carefully and fill the form online and attach all the needed documents. As a matter of fact, application fee can be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. Submit your response after printing the confirmation page.
One can either obtain the application for a nominal fee or download it directly from the university offices or the website. Filled up forms and other copies of documents with the application fees can be submitted at designated counters before the final date. Application fees and conditions for candidature do not differ whether one applies online or online. AKTU entrance exam admit cards will be downloaded from the student login IDs.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow provides numerous UG programs in the following department; 1. Department of Information Technology 2. Department of Computer Science 3. Department of Electronics and Communication 4. Department of Electrical Engineering 5. Department of Mechanical Engineering 6. Department of Civil Engineering etc. The BTech in Computer Science and Engineering programme is offered by the Computer Science and Engineering department with the eligibility being in terms of class 12th with Physics Chemisty and Mathematics with minimum 50 percent aggregate. Pre-requisite examinations which are accepted are CBSE, ICSE or State Board. The Electronics and Communication department offers BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering through Entrance Exam (JEE Main & UPSEE) or Class 12 PCM aggregate.
The UG programmes in streams of AKTU Lucknow include undergraduates like the BTech Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology among others. The Bachelors programs under different streams also include BA in Economics, Sociology, English etc, Bcom in Accounting and Finance, BSc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & BPharm. Most of the UG courses rely on the UPSEE or JEE Main Score for admission. The UPSEE 2024 exam dates will be released by AKTU in the first week of March 2024 in the official site. The UPSEE is conducted every year and its application process starts in the month of January and its applications end in the month of April. There are three stages of admission procedure are: UPSEE exam, Counselling and seat allotment. Admission is done as per UPSEE merit list and preference entered during UPSEE counselling for specific courses and colleges.
The post graduate candidates can choose M.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Pharm courses at various PG departments of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The M.Tech courses are open to qualified graduates with a B.Tech/B.E. degree and a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST). I have an exam like GATE/ UPSEE. MBA eligible criteria are a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) and popular entrance exams accepted are CAT/MAT/CMAT/UPSEE. MCA: Candidates need to have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline with mathematics as one of the subjects at the Degree Level with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Accepted exams are NIMCET/UPSEE. The candidate who want to pursue M.Pharm program should have B.Pharm and score minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) along with GPAT exam.
Some of the popular PG courses and streams that are available at AKTU Lucknow in the year 2024 are as follows: M.Tech (CSE, IT, etc), MBA (Marketing, Finance, HR, etc), MCA (Computer Applications), M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy). Examination dates are like GATE in Feb 4th to 12th 2023, CAT Nov 26th 2022 and UPSEE Apr 29th 2023. Admissions are taken online or through hard copies which are sent physically at the institution, there comes the entrance test, counseling and final admission. The dates for the commencement of the PG programs for the coming academic session are July 2024. AKTU Lucknow University deals with all Ph.D. programmes of engineering and technology. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD in the above branches of science must have passed their Master course in the subject with 55% aggregate marks. At AKTU, the following are some of the departments which offer PhD; Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Chemical Engineering among others. Candidates can get into the PhD entrance exam via GATE/NET or other accepted tests like JRF/SLET/SET.
The PhD admission process at AKTU takes place once in a year during mid March or April. The intake is by subjecting the students to a series of tests including a written test and an interview. Those who are selected must also past viva-voce as a prerequisite for provisional registration. In 2024 AKTU plans to provide PhD degrees in 40 disciplines from nine faculties. Exam dates are as follows: The online application is made starting March; the written entrance exam is conducted in the month of May and the interview takes place between June and July before ending with admission. Duration of the PhD programme at AKTU full time is 2 year and part time is 3 years. Examples of thrust areas covered under the research unit are – VLSI Design, Satellite Communications, Data Mining, Renewable Energy, Biotechnology, Transportation Systems and many more. Students also take rigorous courses and they have to pass research and write a thesis to receive the PhD degree.
