Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam University, Indore is a self-financed university which is situated in the city of Indore in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It established in the year 2016 and is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Consequently, the university has secured B++ from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 2023. According to NIRF ranking 2023, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University, Indore is placed in 151 rank among Universities in India. 

The university has a vast range of disciplines in its curriculum including engineering, management, commerce, computer applications, journalism, hotel management, interior designing, law, sciences, education, pharmacy, agriculture, etc. The major examinations are planned for the months of May and November 2023 for odd and even semesters, respectively. 

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam University has tie ups with more than 500 companies which provide employment opportunities for the deserving students every year. Some of the leading corporates with campuses across India including Infosys, Wipro, Ceasefire, Mphasis and Congnizant have been frequent recruiters for Kalam University’s students. The median salary of the students placed through final placements in 2022 was 8.2 LPA with the highest salary of 18 LPA and the average salary of 6.2 LPA. Every year more than 87% of the students get placed in campus in reputed organizations in the IT, Marketing, Finance, Healthcare, Education sector, Engineering etc.

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam University Indore also has a proper placement cell which provides the opportunities of campus placements every year for each student. Most of the companies that come to the college to recruit students include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture among others. The top salary package in the recently concluded 2023-24 placement drive was 18 LPA offered by an IT sector firm. It was found to be around 6.5 LPA for computer science engineering students in the sales and marketing field. About 85% of the total students from the eligible batches got placed through on-campus recruiters in renowned organizations in sectors such as IT, analytics, consulting etc.
