Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences is a state private university situated at Indore Madhya Pradesh. This University was established in the year 2016 as per the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam. The university has been recognized by UGC. It was ranked 99th in 2023 in the NIRF Rankings under the University category. As for the affiliation and accreditation, the university is newly accredited by NAAC and has received Grade A.
The university provides the numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Management, Commerce, Science, Arts, Education, Law etc Some of the standard courses are BBA, BCom, BA, BSc, BCA, BSW, MBA, MCom, MA, MSc. The admission process begins in January every year. In May – June, there are entrance tests and in July there are counselling sessions for candidates who are selected. The new academic session starts in August. There are no fixed dates for next year’s entrance exams for admissions in 2024 as the University is yet to release it.
The university also has placement cell where students are placed with various companies. Some of the major recruiters are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, ICICI, HDFC, Federal Bank etc Some of the students enroll for higher studies as well. According to recent placement statistics, about 85% of the students who were eligible for placements were placed in reputed firms and the average salary package offered ranged from 3 to 6 LPA. The highest salary package was 15 LPA. Students have got placed in various sectors such as Marketing, Financial services, Human resource, IT/Software etc.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences Indore has a highly functional placement department that helps various companies in recruiting students. Some of the large firms that have hired people from this university include Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and Accenture. In the recent 2022-23 placements the highest salary given was 18 LPA by a financial services company and the average salary was 6 LPA. The overall placement ratio of eligible students in 2022-23 was 86% for different fields such as management, computer applications, commerce, journalism and mass communication etc.
