Dr. C.V. Raman University was established in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh in the year 2006 by the Chhattisgarh Private Universities Act 2005. This is acknowledged by the university & college, UGC, and it is approved by AICTE. It obtained the grade ‘A’ accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.31. As per the NIRF rankings 2023 released recently, CVRU is ranked in the 101-150 band of universities in the country.
The university provides undergraduate, postgraduate, as well as doctoral level programs in almost all the fields of study like engineering, management, commerce, arts, science, education, law, etc The courses available in this university are B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.A, B.Com, B.Sc. The admission is normally conducted once a year and begins in the month of April. CUET conducted by NTA or relevant entrance test conducted by the university is compulsory for the applicants to sit in.
Dr C.V. Raman University has a functional placement cell that ensures student placement in leading companies. They are placed in various sectors with 90% of the eligible students and within a year of their completion of the degree from here. Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank etc are some of the top recruiters existent for computer science graduates for the present campus placements. The average salary packages offered to the computer science engineering graduates are vary between 3-7 LPA. In the previous company the highest salary package that was being offered was 16 LPA.
