Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada is a prominent medical university in Andhra Pradesh aims to impart the best of medical education to its students. It was Established in 1986 and is accredited by the University Grant Commission of India and is NAAC ‘A’ graded. According to NIRF Ranking of 2023 the university stands at 36th position among medical university in India.
The university provides all medical, dental, nursing, allied sciences and pharmacy programs at Bachelors, Masters as well as Doctorate level. Some of the most sought programs comprise of MBBS, MD, MS, MDS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BPharm, MPharm among others. It commonly begins in May each year through the relevant examinations at both state and national levels. The major recruiters are Apollo Hospitals, Fortis Healthcare, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma, Hetero Healthcare etc. The chances of getting a job within one year of completion of the degree are over 85% so there is a huge demand for MBBS graduates, hospitals and clinics pay an average of Rs. 50000 to Rs. 70000 per month For BPharm and MPharm, job offers are Medical Coding, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Data Management and so on with an average CTC ranging from Rs.3 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per annum.

The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada is also known to provide fairly decent placements for its candidates. Beside World Group many big companies come for campus recruitments like Apollo Hospitals, KIMS Hospitals, Care Hospitals and Continental Hospitals etc. The repeaters will be around 10 to 15% only and more than 80% of the students get placed every year. The maximum salary paid during the placement drive organized in 2023 was about Rs 15 lakhs per annum job offered by Apollo Hospitals.
