Gujarat University is a University located in Ahmedabad and it offers its students Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in a sizable number of fields and in a multitude of colleges that are associated with it. The basic requirement to apply for the Bachelors courses in any field is clearing the 12th standard exams or any equivalent exams; however, the percentage criteria may differ from course to course: Bachelor of Arts-50%, Bachelor of Science-55%, Bachelor of Commerce- 60% pass. Acceptable exams for the admission are HSCE, CBSE, ICSE as well. Some of the other conditions are minimum set discipline- wise where some colleges demand Maths in 12th for B.Sc.The entrance tests are conducted for BA and B.Com courses, Commerce subjects for B.Com and Bachelor’s degree for Master’s admission.
It is a prestigious university in the state of Gujarat that provides education in Science, Commerce, Arts, Law, Education Medicine, Dental, Engineering and IT streams at the under graduate and post graduate levels. The ensuing examinations conducted for admission into these courses include GUJCET for Engineering and technology, NPAT for MBA and Architecture, GUJCET LAW for the Law Course, NPAT B-PED for Bachelors in Education and GUB-CET for Computer Application. For other arts , science and commerce courses, the admission is done on the basis of scores in the respective 12th standard examinations. The admission process is generally from May every year with the release of the notification, the vacancy of the entrance examinations in June-July if any, the display of merit lists in August and the counseling sessions in between August-September. The academic session commences in the month of September-October . Similar to UG, all the admission process of the Post Graduate courses in the academic year 2024-2025 is expected to be completed prior to the said month.

The procedure of Online admission in Gujarat University is quite easy and the students can easily fill the form to get admission in the university. There is only one way that candidates have registered for the entrance examination and that is by going to the official site at gju.ac.in and the click on the admission link. Firstly, the candidates have to get them self registered by filling their name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number etc. Once the candidates get registered for the post, they can easily log in with the system generated ID and password, for filling the application form and submitting it. As per the given specification they have to upload various scanned images of documents and photographs etc. This is also an online payment gateway where the application fee may be paid either through credit card, debit card, Internet banking or through UPI.
For the offline admission, the application form is available in some selected banks and the candidates are required to fill the form correctly and submit the hard copy along with photocopies of documents and DD in the prescribed amount. It provides a numbers of UG as well as PG courses in disciplines such as science, commerce, arts, teacher education, law, etc. Admission is granted strictly on merit.
