Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya (HYV) is a state University , established in 2010 designated in Durg, Chhattisgarh, India. It was founded in 2015, and it has affiliations with the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has a B++ accreditation by NAAC. As per NIRF rankings of 2023, HYV is placed in the band of 101-150 among all the Universities of India. 

The university provides education from the undergraduate all the way to the doctoral levels in various fields of specialization including sciences, arts, commerce, laws, education, journalism, and management among others. Some of these course offered at HYV include Btech, Mtech Bsc, Msc. BA, MA MBA, Bcom, Mcom, LLB, Bed, Med, BCJ, MCJ. There are usually two major examination sessions in a semester, which are in November-December and April-May of each year. There is a proper placement cell in Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya that helps students in getting the placement and internships from various companies and organizations. Some of the leading organizations that carry out campus placements at HUV include TATA consultancy services, Wipro, Infosys, HDFC bank, ICICI bank, and Axis bank among others. HIC was able to acquire the highest salary package of Rs. 12 LPA offered by TCS in the placement of 2021-22 while the average salary was Rs. 4.5 LPA. Finally, 60 % of total campus eligible students were placed in reputed firms through campus interviews. The major sectors that hire students are IT/Software, Banking & Finance, Consulting services.
