Himalayan University Itanagar is a private university situated in the Itanagar the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. It was established in the year 2013 and it has been accredited by University Grants Commission (UGC) and also has approval from AICTE. The university received accreditation from NAAC and it is graded as B++. As per NIRF rankings released in 2023, Himalayan University stands at 151st position among the universities in India. HUESAT stands for the Human University Entry Scholastic Aptitude Test while HUPMAT is the Human University Predictive Mathematics Test.HULAT is the Human University Language Aptitude Test. However, eligibility differs depending on the specific program being applied for. The admission process is organized in steps including registration, selection test, counselling and final admission. Students can also get government scholarships if they are deserving learners. The exams are in the month of May and June for the year 2024. In view of the above, the new academic session shall be from 1st August, 2024 for fresh batches was proposed. There will be both online as well as the offline method of admission.

Himalayan University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. The requirement for bachelor’s programs includes completion of 10+2 or equivalent recognized by the concerned board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Program requirements for mathematics and statistics: it is important to note that subject requirements differ according to the specific program chosen.
2. For master’s programs, our applicants must have a relevant bachelors degree from a recognized University with at least 50% average cumulative grade point average. Nevertheless some of the programs may require other additional conditions to be fulfilled.
3. For MPhil and PhD programs, candidate must completed post graduation with minimum 55% aggregate marks. Letters of recommendation and research proposal also needed would be the other things to add.
4. For all the professional diploma and certification courses, the admission seekers must have completed their 10+2 examination and must satisfy the other course specific eligibility norms, if any.
5. Students from other countries must have academic credentials that are as good as those of other universities and colleges that are accredited. Here, some degree of English proficiency scores are expected.
6. In compliance with the rules of the government, candidates from the reserved category may be allowed some basic percentage concessions. Meet other program requirements.

Himalayan University Placements 2024
Himalayan University has a functional placement desk which help in the placement of students in different organizations. The university has a job placement record of over 80 companies that visit and offer campus placements to students and reputable IT companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and core engineering companies like Larsen & Toubro. The highest salary package was offered by Microsoft in 2021 that offered Rs 18 lakh per annum to the students. The median for the salary offered in the campus placements of the batch of 2021 was Rs 6.8 lakh per annum and this was irrespective of branch. Over three-fourth of the students are placed in IT sector and especially the Computer Science department has recorded maximum placements of almost 78 percent. The graduation rate varies for different branches in the university and it is within the 60 – 90 percent.
