I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) is a state university technical university situated in Jalandhar-Punjab. It was established in the year 1997 and currently it is one of the foremost technical universities in the north India affiliated with more than 150 colleges. IKGPTU stands as an example of the institution that was graded ‘A’ by NAAC, proving the institution’s dedication to scholarly success. IKGPTUBA was ranked 91 among engineering colleges in India as per NIRF ranking 2023. In IKGPTU, 2021-22 graduation batch placement statistics reveals that 86.20% of the aspirants who appeared for placement were placed with median salary package offering approximate Rs. 3.5 lakhs to 8 lakhs per annum. The maximum salary offered was Rs. 28 lakh per annum was provided by L&T Infotech. The Placement Cell’s preparation with IKGPTU students and their training has seen placement rates above 80 percent in the recent past.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) is one of the most reputed universities and the placement rate that the university offers to its candidates is always very good. Selectors offering campus placements include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra, among others. As of the academic year 2021–22, campus placements saw more than 500 companies, and about 85% of eligible students were placed.
