ICFAI University is a university in the private sector situated in Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand. It is UGC recognised, AICTE recognised and it holds Grade A accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. In the recently released NIRF rankings for the year 2023, ICFAI University stands 65th position among universities in India.
ICFAI university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs for management, law, science, technology, education and arts and Doctor of Philosophy degree. Some of the most preferred courses offered include; BBA, BCom, BA LLB, B.Tech, MBA, MCA. University end semester exams usually occur in the months of November and May of the year. The admission process commences in February for the session starting in July of the same year. Some of the entrance tests that are accepted for admissions are CAT, MAT, XAT and also the University conducts its own entry level test called AIUAT and also Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

ICFAI University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidates have to clear 10 + 2 or its equivalent exam in any recognized board and the candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category).
2. In general, to qualify for any of the UG programs, the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination within the last five years. The interviewees mentioned that there is no gap stipulation for PG programs.
3. There is no upper age limit but for candidates below seventeen years, they must provide a letter of permission from the parents/guardian for candidates below 21 years for PG programs.
4. Final year students of the qualifying exam can also apply the final year results will determine the eligibility at the time of admission.
5. This means that a student who wishes to transfer to University must produce official documents from the previous university in accordance to the guidelines of credit transfer as well as compatibility of programs.
6. However additional specific eligibility criteria may apply to certain programs as to the subjects offered at the UG level, entrance tests.
ICFAI University Placements 2024
Placement season of ICFAI University at the campus of
graduating batch of 2024 was very large and many
companies recruited the students. 93% of the students got placed with the
highest salary being Rs. 25 lakhs per annum by Microsoft. This was at a healthy average of Rs. 8.6 lakhs per annum overall of the compensation across all branches of the company. Leading hiring companies such as
Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, IBM, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Capgemini, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, and EY were some of them that had provided opportunities in IT, analytics, BFSI, consulting, and core engineering. This placement success is attributed to the industry oriented curriculum and the training offered to the students by the placement cell of this institution.
