The ICFAI University, Meghalaya in Shillong has a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different disciplines of management, science, technology, law, and education. The eligibility criteria differ from one department to another. For BTech programs in CSE, ECE, civil and mechanical engineering, 12th passed with physics, chemistry and mathematics with minimum 50% marks are required for the candidates. Some of the entrance examinations accepted are JEE Main, GATE, CMAT etc for medical and engineering respectively. Candidates who have completed BBA / MBA should be graduates in any discipline with 50% marks can apply through the exams like CAT, MAT, XAT or NMAT. For the 5 years integrated course of BA LLB program, 45% in 12th standard is required and for the 3 years course of LLB, 50% aggregate in graduation degree is required. The BEd and MEd programs has the provision to offer admission to candidates who have passed BEd/TET examination and having 50% marks in UG/PG. The ICFAI University Meghalaya currently has around 30 courses in management, science & technology, law, Education and humanities.
The admission process at ICFAI University Meghalaya for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs can be completed online and offline.
For online application, the candidate has to visit the official website of the university at www.ium.edu.in and navigate to the ‘Admissions’ section. Specify the program of interest, and then fill the online application formal with proper attention. Scan and upload documents as required such as qualifications, photos, signature, etc., as may be required based on guidelines. Pay the application fee through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking only.

The ICFAI University Meghalaya is located in Shillong and provides several undergraduate courses in fields of science, commerce, arts, and computer applications. The eligibility criteria are slightly different across departments For BSc programs like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one needs 50% in Class 12 in the PCM subjects mentioned above, and the accepted qualifying exams are CBSE, ISC, or State boards. For the BCom program, the minimum requirement is also 50% in Class 12 in any stream with Maths/Accounts as subjects. To be eligible for BA Economics honors, a student should have 50% in Class 12 in any stream. BCA program requires Maths as one of the subjects in class 12 and a minimum aggregate of fifty percent.
The Programs of Under Graduate (UG) in the University includes BSc Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, BCom General and Honors, BA Economics Honors, BBA, BCA besides Integrated programs BA LLB and BBA LLB.
University of ICFAI Meghalaya Shillong offers PhD in various disciplines of Management Science & Technology, School of Law and School of Humanities & Social Sciences. For instance, the requirements for admission to the PhD differ across the various departments. For Management, candidates must possess Master degree / M.Phil with 55% of marks or equivalent. The tests accepted are UGC NET, SLET, SET, GATE or JRF can be taken. Science and Technology departments require Master’s degree in the concerned subject with minimum 55% marks for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science departments. The other acceptable tests are UGC NET, GATE, or JRF.
The University provides three types of PhD programs including full-time and part-time PhD programs in various streams like Management, Law, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. Some of the PhD courses include Management, Computer Science, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Journalism and Mass Communication among others.
