The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM) is an institute of national importance among the twenty Indian Institutes of Management that the Government of India has approved. IIM Nagpur was set up in 2015 and it received its current status in 2017 it is an IIM of National Importance under the IIM Act 2017. It has been graded ‘A’ on the FGA score of NAAC for the quality in higher learning that it imparts to its students. According to the NIRF Rankings of 2023, IIM Nagpur stands at position 33 in the List of management institution in India.
IIM Nagpur has started launching its postgraduate diploma programmes in various domains of management such as the 2-year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGE-BA), and Executive PG Programme in Management (EPGM). The admission process entails the minimum CAT/GMAT score after which candidates undergo Writing Ability Test, Personal Interview and Final Selection. The admission to the PGPM 2024-26 batch is open till 30th November 2023. IIM Nagpur provides Doctoral level and continuing education like Faculty Development Programme, Management Development Programme.

IIM Nagpur Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For the eligibility criteria, the candidate must be a graduate and should have minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. No specific discipline is required but the degree should be from a accredited university.
2. Final year bachelor’s degree holder can also apply but they will have to complete their final examination by 31st October of the year of admission.
3. Any candidate who fulfills the minimum eligibility criteria has a chance of getting into the PGP program in IIM Nagpur. Still, work experience might be considered as a positive factor by the companies.
4. The courses and tests required for entrance examination include clearing CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE or any other test as prescribed by Ministry of Education & Research, Science & technology with valid scores.
5. Candidates shall be shortlisted and called for personal interview round with an independent panel at the IIM, Nagpur or other centres.
6. This means that candidates who are selected during the interview stage will be accorded the final offer through a composite score based on factors such as academic performance, entrance test, and interview.
IIM Nagpur Placements 2024
The placements for the final placements of the 2024 batch of the Post Graduate Programme of IIM Nagpur were done recently with more than 90% of the batch getting selected across various domains. The major recruiters were the premier consulting firms and they made both domestic and international offers by and large, such as McKinsey & Company and The Boston Consulting Group. The maximum salary offered was 58.6 lakh Per Annum for fresher’s and the median salary was 29.5 lakh Per Annum. The median has also shown growth of 30% over the previous year in terms of the salary offered. The institute achieved a 93% placement rate for the graduating class in some of the best positions in product management, investment banking, analytics and some core leadership roles.
