The IIIT Allahabad has BTech, MTech, PhD and Dual Degree courses in a number of departments including Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering Information Technology and Management. The students are admitted to the BTech programs on the basis of the national level entrance examinations like JEE Main, UPSEE etc. The basic qualification required for admission in the Btech course is pass in 10+2 level examination in PCM group with minimum 60-70% marks in aggregate for the general category students. This admission only takes place for the MTech-PhD programmes where one has to meet the GATE score or NET qualification along with having at least 55-60% marks in the graduation programme.
The streams offered at the IIIT Allahabad across under graduate and post graduate levels are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Computational Natural Science, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, VLSI Design, Communication and Signal Processing, Biomedical Engineering, and Management.
The admission process for the programmes offered by IIIT Allahabad in online and offline mode has been well framed and structured. For admission, the students interested in the IIIT Allahabad are required to log onto the website at www.iiita.ac.in and click on the link that says ‘Admissions’ for more information on admission procedure.
For the online application, students have to get registered on the admission portal and provide few basic details, pay the online application fee and then fill up the online application form providing the scanned copies of the documents required. Offline application forms can be downloaded through the website and must be delivered either by hand or by post to the institute with the application fee. As like online applications, different documents are also needed for offline applications.

IIIT Allahabad has attached UG programs which are four years BTech degree programmes and it offers these programmes in various departments. There is the BTech in Computer Science and Engineering offered by the Computer Science and Engineering department provided that one passed the class 12th for equivalent with minimum of 60% average in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. To apply, the applicant has to take one of the following examinations: JEE Main, UPSEE, etc. Electronics and Communication Engineering offers BTech degree where admission is based on JEE Main, UPSEE scores and where the 12th standard pass percentage should be 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects. Likewise, the Information Technology department provides the BTech in Information Technology programme, which takes the score of JEE Main and requires the candidate to have 60% marks in PCM in 12th to be eligible for admission. Finally, the Bioinformatics department offers a BTech in Bioinformatics that recognizes national level entrance tests like JEE Main, and requires 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics marks of 60% or above.
