IIIT Tiruchirappalli found in 2013, Tamil Nadu offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level studies in the various departments including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Design. This criterion depends on the departments of a business organization; it is not fixed. Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Identity proof and address proof like Voter ID Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, for identity and age verification.
2. 10th standard mark sheet and passing certificate showing Date of Birth and other details of parent/guardian. This establishes academic eligibility.
3. Mark sheet and passing certificate of 12th standard showing the subjects of study and marks that a candidate has secured. This even goes further to show that one qualifies academically for a program or a course.
4. To avail the quotas as per the state government norms in the reserved category, the candidates need community certificate.
5. Original and Photo copy of the Transfer certificate of the school/college last attended before joining IIIT. The proof of discontinuation to join IIIT acts as evidence of discontinuation.
6. Migration certificate needed at the time of admission for State Board or any other University students. This serves to ease transfer between institutions as well.
Undergraduate programs that are available at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli (IIIT Trichy) include many engineering programs, design and sciences. The minimum academic requirements for applying to most of the UG courses starting from the second semester for instance the BTech programs in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, the candidate is expected to score at least 60% of the total marks in the respective Class 12 board exams (55% for the SC/ST Category) and qualify for competitive national level entrance tests such as the JEE Main, KCET.

The basic requirement for these programs is an undergraduate degree in relevant engineering or technology with students scoring an average of 60% for the programs in the CSE department while for the other departments such as ECE and Mechanical the average passing mark is 55% in their qualifying degree. The common entrance tests for admission to PG programmes are GATE/CEED/UCEED and the Institute’s RET test.

2. Online application - To apply for the desired course, one has to fill an online form available at the institute’s website and enter the details such as academic achievements, contact details.
3. Writing Exam – For those students who are shortlisted for the Uni-GAUGE-E test is conducted by the ERA Foundation, the students will have to write the test. The test is an aptitude test.
4. Check merit list – This list is prepared based on the candidate’s performance in Uni-GAUGE-E test and the marks secured in the 12th standard in PCM.
5. Counselling – Go for counselling session according to the dates when document verification takes place and courses/branches are assigned as per the merit and other preferences, if any.
6. Admission – At last, provide admission by paying the admission fee up to the last date fixed for it. Enroll in a program and go for an orientation or/and classes.

4. The shortlisted candidates are informed that they are required to write a test and an interview which is usually conducted in the period of May/June at the institute campus.
5. After considering the results of the written test and interview, the select list is prepared and the candidates are informed.
6. Complete admission by paying the fees and enroll in the program at the planned times. Some of the Ph.D scholars manage to get either institute fellowship or get funding for an external project.
