IIM Ranchi provides postgraduate programs in the field of management across the different specializations like Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, etc. These academic programs are full-time management courses spread over two years where the minimum requirement for the applicants is having a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. The admission to different programmes at IIM Ranchi is offered to candidates based on their scores in CAT, GMAT, and GRE. The specific CAT percentile prerequisite also differs based on which department and the reservations category in question. Finance and Marketing sections need above 90 percentile and in the Operations and Human Resources sections, candidates need to have above 80 percentile in CAT.

IIM Ranchi currently has several undergraduate programs that admit students in various academic departments. The Economics Department provides a BSc in Economics with tracks in Financial Economics Business Economics and Public Policy Economics. The basic eligibility for applying for this program is that the candidate must have cleared class 12th examinations with minimum 60% marks from a recognized board and needs to clear any of the entrance examinations like JEE Main, SAT, GMAT, CAT etc. The Finance department offers Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with concentrations in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Fintech, and Wealth Management. For admission students require 50% in 12th class in any stream along with valid JEE Main/CAT/XAT scores. The Business Administration department provides a BBA in Business Administration that includes facets of marketing, human resource management, operation, IT, with optional internship. It prescribes minimum eligibility criteria regarding class 12th percentage with 55% as well as CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA scores acceptance.
This institution also offers several MBA programs across its departments as follow. The most popular program at the moment is the MBA course run by the General Management department. Minimum qualification required for these posts is a bachelor degree for graduation with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Selective tests include CAT, XAT and GMAT are accepted by the Institute.
