Indira Gandhi University, Rewari, is a state university in the city of Rewari, in the state of Haryana, India. It was Established in 2013 by an act of the Government of Haryana, which has been accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and recognized by the Government of India. As for now, the university has been accredited grade ‘B’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2022. Latest NIRF Rankings 2023 indicate that Indira Gandhi University Rewari has been placed in the REF Category 101-150 in the university ranking in India.
The represented range of courses enable students to get the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees in a wide range of fields of study including the natural sciences, commerce, arts, education, law, and many others. Some of the main courses that are taught include B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc., M.Sc., B.A., M.A., B.Com, M.Com, B.Ed., M.Ed., L.L.B, L.L.M, and so on. The admission process is generally from start in every May and the university has its own entrance test known as IGUEE for admission to UG and PG courses. Regarding the IGUEE 2024 exams, as earlier mentioned, the university has not yet released the date. The application is available online and the selection process involves marks obtained in the Qualifying exam and Entrance Test.
The university also has a placement and internship cell wherein it provides job prospects to its students. Some of the organizations, which had recruited the students of IGU Rewari in campus placements are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, SBI Life, Decathlon and others. More than half a thousand students from various disciplines have been offered jobs and the wage scales falling between 3 and 5 LPA. In terms of the salary structure, the highest salary package reported has been 12 LPA.
