Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya or commonly known as IKSV is one of the most prestigious universities in India focusing on the teaching of arts and music. IKSV is a University, which is located in Chhattisgarh, India, was established in 1956 and is now recognised by UGC and is accredited Grade A by NAAC. In terms of NIRF ranking 2023 released recently, IKSV stands at 25 in the list of universities in India. The university strives at developing and encouraging Hindustani classical music and folk dances, traditional art and theatre forms.

Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For undergraduate programs, candidate should have completed 10+2 Exams in any stream from any recognized board with more than 50% marks in it for general category and 45% for reserved category.
2. For postgraduate programmes minimum 50 % marks in relevant bachelor’s degree (45% for reserved category ) from recognized university.
3. MPhil must possess post graduate degree in concerned subject with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved category) from any recognized university.
4. For PhD, a postgraduate degree in a related subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) scored at a recognized university.
5. Reduction in percentage of marks in accordance to the relaxation policy of government for the reserved category candidates.
6. University also undertakes Talent Search Examination for some of the programs/ courses to check the aptitude along with the above said eligibility criteria.

Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya recorded an impressive placement statistic of over 60% students placement assurance every year. Some of the major jobs offered in the campus include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture and Cognizant where they offer IT and consulting jobs. The highest salary offered in the previous year was from American Express offering a salary package of Rs 18, 00, 000 per annum while the average salary package offered in the campus was of Rs 3-4 lakhs per annum. Due to the university’s strategic location in Raipur and its linkage with industries, the students do get placements in internships jobs in various fields such as IT, Banking, entertainment, hospitality.
