The Indus Institute of Information & Communication Technology in Ahmedabad conducts a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in computer science, information technology, electronics and communication, mechanical engineering and civil engineering. The criteria may differ from department to department, as for computer science and IT departments, the students are demanded to have at least 50% in class 12 board with physics, chemistry and mathematics. In electronics and communication and in mechanical stream, the minimum aggregate percentage of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics is expected to be 45%. It also imparts post graduate courses are such as MTech in computer science and information technology. Some of the key examinations for admittance into these programs include GUJCET for undergraduate engineering courses set for May in the year 2024 while GATE is for the M.Tech programmes with examinations normally held in February every year. The admission process includes online registration, entrance examination as per the course, counselling sessions for distribution of seats and collection of admission documents. The online application process is short and easy to complete. Applicants must go to the Indus university’s website at www.indusuni.ac.in and under the ‘Admissions’ tab. They have to register themselves, then they have to complete the application form, scan their documents to attach them with the form, they have to pay the application fees online and then submit the form.
For offline admission, the application form can be downloaded online or can be obtained in person from the campus. The application forms should be completed, and accompanied with certified copies of the necessary documents and the application fees should be deposited at the physical address of the institute. - Except the ranks obtained in JEE Main, factors such as category, state of eligibility, choices filled etc are also considered.
- Home State candidates are allowed to occupy 80% of the total number of seats, while Other State candidates are allowed to occupy only 20% of the seats.
- In addition, 5% seats are reserved for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and South East Asia.
