The ILBS is an accredited medical institute of repute specifically dedicated to research and management of liver diseases and Gastroenterology located at New Delhi. They provide several academic programs with regards to medical fields. The fee structure of the MD General Medicine program is affordable and they allow candidates who have passed MBBS with 55% marks and have a valid NEET-PG score. The DM Gastroenterology program enroll students who have an MD in Medicine or Pediatrics and qualify the entrance test of ILBS. The MCh HPB Surgery program offers admission to candidates who have a master’s degree in General Surgery and 3 years of work experience and have cleared the test conducted by the institute.

5. There are some courses for which entrance tests are conducted in the months of July-August. Merit in the qualifying examination and the entrance exam is the criteria for selection.

1. Candidate must have passed 12th grade in the science stream and must have scored more than 50% of marks.
2. You may use online or download the application form available in May – June. To participate can be sent online or by postal means before the last date.
3. Sit for entrance test – Written test is conducted in July. These questions are from physics, chemistry as well as biology. Qualifying marks is 50%.
4. Take counseling – Depending on the scores in the written test and the scores obtained by the candidate in the 12th standard, counseling takes place. Documents of selected candidates undergo authenticity check.
5. Medical examination – All the applicants who successfully passed the interview are subjected to a medical fitness test at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences.
6. Acceptance and fees – The final step is to admit the candidates who are offered the job through payment of the fee. Then orientation and classes start, all fresh again.
