Jagran Lakecity University (JLU) is a private university, situated in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh state in India. Johar Khabar Education, as a private college, was established in 2013 and is approved by the University Grants Commission and recognized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The university is also accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC of government of India’s university grant commission known as National Assessment and Accreditation Council. JLU according to NIRF rankings 2023 falls between 101-150 universities in India. 

The university provides the students under graduate, post graduate and even the doctorate degrees in various streams of studies like management, commerce, engineering, computer application, journalism and creative studies, hospitality and tourism, physical education, agriculture, arts, science, education and many more. Some of the significant assessments administered at JLU are the university entrance test, semester-end tests, assignments, and presentations etc For the batch of 2024-25, the admission process is expected to commence in March-April 2024. The admission process depends on scores in National or State level exams such as JEE Main, CAT, MAT, XAT etc There is an entry test also conducted by the university. The admission requirements, procedures and all the other relevant information will be put up on the university website near the time of admission.  

The placements at JLU Bhopal have been good as of now in the given years. The percentage of final year students placed through campus placements at JLU is about 500 national and multinational companies. Some of the key companies which are actively participating in the campus recruitment drive are Deloitte, Infosys,Wipro, TCS, Voltas, Asian Paints, Berger Paints, Decathlon, etc. The institute has placement assurance where more than 85% of eligible students at the JLU get placements every year and the highest salary package offered is more than 18 LPA. At present, the salary packages that have been offered to most of the students vary between 3-7 LPA depending on the discipline/specialization. Jagran Lakecity University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. For B Tech programs, the candidates should have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with Science as the main stream with maths, physics, chemsitry as the main subjects with an aggregate of 55 percent.

2. The eligibility criteria for MTech programmes is that the candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in the concerned branch of engineering and has secured at least 60% marks from a recognized university. It is also added that candidates having passed the GATE examination are preferred.  

3. For BBA and MBA, students need to have a pass certificate from a recognized board of education for 10+2 level examination. For MBA, the candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and must have secured 50% of the aggregate marks. 

4. For other combined courses such as BA LLB and BBA LLB, the applicants who passed 10+2 levels can apply for admission with a minimum of 45% marks in the relevant qualifying examination. 

5. For MA and MSc programs, one must have completed the Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with 50% aggregate or above.

6. For diploma and certification programmes, the candidate must be 10+2 pass or equivalent. Such experience in the field may be desirable or required in some positions depending on the employer and their needs.

Jagran Lakecity University (JLU) in Bhopal in the state of Madhya Pradesh offers a wide array of programs for under graduation, post graduation and doctoral level programs in different discipline of Engineering & Technology, Management, Commerce, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences streams. 

In JLU some of the courses offered include BTech in comp science, mechanical, civil and electrical engineering which costs between 1.25lpa to 1.50lpa. The BBA and MBA mentioned above have fresh specializations as Business Analytics, Logistics & Supply Chain Management with annual fees of INR 1,00,000 and INR 2,50,000 respectively. It has also solid research-based PhD programs in multiple fields with first-year tuition of INR 50,000.  

Other main intakes are Integrated Law programmes BA LLB, BSc in Microbiology/Chemistry/Physics etc., and MA/MSc programmes in Economics/English Literature/Physics etc. The annual fee of these courses lies in between INR 60000 to 125000. They also provide interventional exposure and hands-on practice through internships and training.
