The JIPMER is one of the most renowned medical institutions in India located in Pondicherry. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs and a wide array of medical specializations. With these, they can then login to the applicant portal to fill and submit the online application form by the given deadline by providing all required details and documents as per the admission guidelines.

The undergraduate courses offered by the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. The important UG Departments are MBBS, B.Sc. Nursing, BASLP and BMRSc. Prospective students seeking admission to MBBS at JIPMER should have completed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Students also need to clear the JIPMER MBBS entrance test The JIPMER MBBS entrance test is conducted for admissions in the MBBS programme in JIPMER. The BSc Nursing program is open to those candidates who have completed their 10+2 in Science with minimum 55% of marks. It means that the students are admitted after passing an entrance test. For the admission to BASLP 4-year degree, the students must have passed the 10+2 examination preferably science stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks. The admission process is done according to the scores obtained by the student in the JIPMER BASLP entrance exam. The BMRSc Optometry program in JIPMER selects students who completed 10+2 with 50 percentage in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English. Class 12th percentage and BMRSc entrance test scores are taken into consideration while admitting the students.

The JIPMER in Pondicherry has PhD specialization in many branches of medical sciences. The Anatomy department provides a 3-year program with the following admission requirements a master’s degree in Anatomy, Zoology or Life Sciences. The qualifying exams accepted include NET, GATE as well as the entrance test of JIPMER university. The Biochemistry department also has a 3 year Ph.D course of study that admits candidates with master’s degree in Biochemistry or related fields. The tests for which the scholar shall be eligible are CSIR-NET, ICMR-JRF and UGC-NET. The Microbiology department welcomes individuals with an MSc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or any branch of Life science, among others. It is acceptable to use JIPMER PhD entrance examination, National Eligibility Test, and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. There are also other PhD programs in various departments such as Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, etc., which also have the same prerequisites and examinations.
