Junagadh Agricultural University is one of the prestigious agricultural universities in Gujarat and is established at Junagadh. JAU is an institution that was founded in the year 2004, and it has been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with an ‘A’ grade. Accademy, in the NIRF ranking for the year 2023, JAU has been placed at 51 ranked among agricultural universities in India. B.Com (Hons. & General) & BBA Through AIMS: Admission is through written test and merit. The online registration for the admissions to be held in 2024 will begin from May 2023. The entrance examinations for students will take place in June 2023. It is also important to note that results will be declared in July 2023 followed by counseling. They also have certificate and diploma programs on various specialized subjects of interest. Overall the placement of JAU is very good, and some of the companies which had visited JAU are Reliance, ITC, PepsiCo, Coco Cola, Godrej Agrovet etc. Candidate wise placement statistics 2022: 568 students eligible for placement out of 568, 80% got placed. Top recruiters were ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and Bharti Airtel etc., and the highest salary package offered was 18 LPA while the average salary offered was 7 LPA. Junagadh Agricultural University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. BSc Agriculture is the most popular course and one should pass 12th standard science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths subjects. Minimum 50% aggregate marks required for the students belonging to General and OBC Category and 45% marks for the students belonging to SC/ST Category. Clear university entrance exam may seem like a very simple suggestion, but it is actually a very significant goal. There is no pre-set age restriction for any of the programs offered by the university. 

2. BTech Food Technology – I passed twelfth science with physics chemistry and maths subjects. Passing minimum 45% marks in aggregate coursework. Should have attend the GATE/JEE examination. Another restriction is the upper limit of age which must not exceed 25 years.  

3. MSc Agriculture: Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or any allied discipline with an aggregate of 50% marks. He always believed that to pass clear the university entrance exam is the best thing that can ever happen to him in his exams. No age limit. 

4. MBA Agribusiness – A candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate. Experience in the agriculture/allied sector shall be preferred . There is no restriction on age but preference is given to the candidates in young age group. 

5. Mechanization in Agriculture - Master’s degree in Agriculture or allied disciplines with minimum 55% aggregate marks. Must meet university entrance exam requirements. Age limitation by the company is that maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 35 years. 

6. Diploma Dairy Technology – Candidates should have completed 10+2 level examination and can be in any stream with 50% aggregate marks. No entrance exam. According to the job description the upper limit of age is 28 years.
