Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), Krishnankovil is a Deemed – University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, a private institution located in a vast campus area of 500 acres. These include the following: Undergraduate and post graduate courses in various fields and disciplines such as Engineering, Science, Arts, Pharmacy, Agriculture and Teacher Education. Few of the popular departments include the biotechnology, nanotechnology, computer science, aeronautical engineering mechatronics and microbiology departments. It depends on the courses they offer – For engineering, only 50% in Physics, chemistry, and math in class 12 can apply. Medical courses expect a minimum of 50% marks in PCB, as already mentioned by the respective authorities. Degree common courses need a pass certificate of class twelfth. Accepted standard tests include JEE Mains, GATE, TANCET, CAT, NEET and the the KARE entrance examination score.
KARE currently offers more than a hundred programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, BCA, MCA, MBA, B.Ed, M.Ed, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Arch, integrated degree courses. The important examination for 2024 admission along with their probable timetable - KARE entrance examination will take place in April & May, JEE Mains in January & April, GATE in February, TANCET in May, CAT in November, NEET in April/May. The admission procedure includes - registration through online mode and submission of admission form, entrance test, declaration of merit list depending upon the entrance test, online option entry for choice filling, admission counselling, allocation of seats and payment of fees. The university has a central placement cell which directly coordinates campus placements for students in all the branches. As a testimony, more than two hundred companies come to this campus for placement annually.

It contains information about programs to be run and online application form. In cases such as these, applicants should ensure that they complete all fields such as personal information, qualifying examination results, and contact information before applying. The application fees can also be paid through online using credit / debit card or through net banking.
For the offline admission process, the application request can be made and the application form along with the prospectus will be sent through courier or can be collected directly from the admission office of KARE. As always fill the mentioned form and enclose the required self attested xerox copies of age proof, marks sheets of the qualifying examination, if applicable, community certificate . Enclose a demand draft for the applicable application fee with the completed form and post it to the address provided or handover the same at the counter designated for admission. 1. The applicant must have completed the 10+2 level examination by passing the Higher Secondary exam with not less than fifty percent marks (fifty percent in aggregate for SC/ST category).
2. The process of selection will be merit-based, whereby candidates will be selected depending on the number of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology/ Botany, and Zoology in the qualifying examination. Marks for subject combination of pcm/pcb will be added together and the total of 300 will be considered while preparing merit list.
3. Application forms will be available in the Kalasalingam University website and candidates will have to write the Kalasalingam University Entrance Exam (KLEE) conducted by the university. Another criterion for selection will be one’s performance in the entrance exam that is always set for all students joining the school.
4. However, in case of a tie result in the entrance test then the candidate with higher percentage marks in the qualifying examination (10+2) will be given preference. In case of tie in the additional criteria also, then the candidate who is older in age will be preferred.
5. The reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled) would be granted the relaxation as per government stipulations observed.

1. Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with main subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. Admission will be made strictly on merit under the norms laid down by the University or on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or its equivalent. In case of tie, the school or program with higher marks will be preferred.
3. Admissions under management quota seats: The selection candidates for the seats under this category will be purely at the discretion of the management.
4. In case of NRI/PIO/FN candidates, the selection will be made on the basis of percentage of marks in the qualifying examination 10+2 or equivalent examination or in case of those candidates who have appeared for the SAT Subject Tests as and when they are held.
5. This means that in the event that two or more candidates obtain the same score, the candidate who scores a higher mark or percentile score in Maths will be given priority. If the tie remains. the candidate closer to the retiring age will be the one to be hired.

3. For online application please click on the link and to register yourself fill in the mandatory fields only.
4. An application number and password will then be generated. This you should jot down for later use.
5. Login with the credentials and follow the link ‘new user registration’ and fill up the online application form.
6. Save the scanned copies of the required documents like photograph, signature, class 10 and class 12 marks memo, community certificate if any etc.
7. Complete the online application fee payment through net banking, debit/credit card.
8. In case you complete the application form then you must note down the application number and take the print out of it.
9. Attach the original copy of the completed application form along with photocopies of such documents to the address stated.
10. As for the application status, students should check the website of the university from time to time, and the university notifies students about the entrance examination, if any, depending upon the course and specialization.
