Karnataka Samskrit University (KSU) Bangalore is one of the leading sanskrit and associated learning university in the state. The foundations of KSU were established in 2010 and it is recognised by the University Grants Commission of the country. It has NAAC accreditation of grade ‘A’ and has a overall CGPA of 3.51 out of 4. In the latest NIRF rankings releases in 2023, KSU has been ranked 65 among universities across the country.
KSU has produced a compendium of courses in diverse fields that are taught in Sanskrit medium. Courses are such as Shastri (BA), BEd, MA, MPhil and PhD in subjects including Vyakarana, Nyaya, Vedanta, Sahitya to Jyotisha, Dharmashastra and other specific degrees like Temple Culture Studies, Philosophy, Manuscriptology etc.
The institution also has a good placement record when it comes to matters concerning students. The campus placement drives offered in the year 2022-2023 session for the eligible students got placed in reputed companies, of which 75% of the students got selected. Recruiters such as Indic Academy, Chinmaya International Foundation, Ramakrishna Math, Samskrita Bharati who recruited at the lowest package of 2 LPA and highest package at 5 LPA for freshers. Students are also preferred as candidates for teaching and research positions in academic institutions or universities and with average remuneration being 3 to 4 LPA.

Karnataka Samskrit University Bangalore also enjoys a decent level of placement offers for its students. MNCs like TATA Consultancy Services, Infosys, WIPRO, Tech Mahindra & Cognizant hires its students directly through campus interviews. In the T&D placement drive for the session 2022-23, around 60% of the students got placed with the highest annual package of 6.5 LPA fetched by TCS. The average salary package offered in different companies varied between 3.5-4 LPA. Some of the other top recruiting companies were Infosys, Oracle and Byju’s which were providing packages of 3 to 5 LPA for IT, education and consulting domains.
