Kumaun University is a public university established in the year 1973, situated in Nainital, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is having different departments of various streams at this campus of the university situated in Nainital known as DSB Campus. With respect to the major departments, they include Arts, Commerce, Management, Education, Law, and Science.

The eligibility criteria for the various departments are differently formulated. The requirement for joining for BA, BCom, and BSc are class 12th or any other equivalent exam from any accepted board for the students to pass with the minimum aggregate of 40-50% depending on the subjects. CBSE, ICSE and State Boards are some of the accepted qualifying exams widely accepted. For BBA and MBA, the student must possess a recognized bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks. Candidates who want to pursue LLB must posses a bachelors degree in any field. Bachelor’s degree in BEd and Master’s degree in MED with qualifying of State Teacher Eligibility Test is mandatory.

Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:

  • Enter all the required details
  • Fill up the application form completely & submit it.
  • Candidates will be allotted a user ID & password from the confirmation page.
  • The same User ID & Password will be sent to the candidate's registered Email ID for future reference.
  • Upload passport size photograph (less than 1 MB) and all the required documents.
  • Pay Online & Download Receipt.

Documents Required for Admission in KUDS Nainital for Different Courses:

KUDS Nainital B.Com Selection Criteria

1. Marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination that is Class 12th.

2. Civil Candidates having last qualifying examination mark/percentage shall be considered for admission. Higher percentages get preference.

3. Reservation according to the government norms – yes, there is reservation for the SC, ST, OBC, women, etc. In accordance with the Uttarakhand state government. Candidates would require submitting the required documents so as to get the privilege of being reserved.

4. Total admitted intakes of B.Com in KU Nainital and its affiliated colleges for current academic year. Those who perform well academically as evidenced by their ranking, are preferred. 

5. If the student has taken the university entrance exam, then his or her performance in the exam will be considered. There may be college or institution specific tests in some cases.

KUDS Nainital B.Com How To Apply?

1. Kumaun University is officially located at www.kunainital.ac.in

2. On the main page, scroll down towards the ‘Admissions’ tab and follow the link to ‘Online Application Form for UG Programs.’

3. Choose whether you want to apply for the morning or evening program i.e. B.Com. 

4. This will lead to a new page with a tab labeled ‘New Registration’ where you have to input the necessary information for creating the login information.

5. If you are actually registered you log in and apply through an online form that is provided.

6. Scanned necessary documents such as photographs, signatures, educational certificates/marksheets etc. should be uploaded.  

7. Complete the fees payment for the online application through debit/credit card or through net banking

8. If the application is accepted, the signed document should be downloaded and a paper copy printed for the applicant’s records.

9. Take a printout of the filled application form and attach the photocopies of the documents and send it to the university through post or bring the original documents along with the hard copy of the application form at the time of counseling

10. Visit the university’s web page frequently to look for admission information and the merit lists.

KUDS Nainital B.Pharma Selection Criteria

1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics as main subjects of examination from a recognized board.

2. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 45 % marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate. 

3. Admissions will be open after class XII or similar examination on the bases of merit.

4. If the marks on merit are equal then the candidate who has more marks in Chemistry will be preferred. If there is the case whereby the candidates are still equal in terms of qualification, experience, and ages, the older candidate will be considered for the position.

5. The candidate should meet the norms and standards set by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) in terms of eligibility.

6. Counseling process will be followed to have an allotment of the seats to be offered according to the merit, availability of the seats and the choices/preferences of the candidates.

7. The seats for Sc, St, obc and other castes/ categories as per uttrakhand government rules will be reserved.

KUDS Nainital B.Pharma How To Apply?

1. It is advisable to read the requirements for B.Pharma at KUDS Nainital to see whether one meets the requirements to get admission. As a rule, one must have passed previous examinations for 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics. There may be some minimum percentage criteria also.

2. Visit the Kumaun University home page and look for the heading of B.Pharma admission or look for any notice regarding the same. This is normally done around May or June in any given year. 

3. On the link with the application form, click it and then fill in all the necessary details positively. This includes your marks in 10+2, personal details and contact details etc These documents are required at the time of registration and hence should be kept handy. 

4. Locate scanned copies of the required documents including 10th and 12th mark sheets, certificates, photos etc. As per the instructions.

5. As option, make the application fee payment through the payment option provided (more often through the internet). Keep proof of payment.

6. Print and fill the application form every time after the payment or submission of the form online. It is advisable to keep the copy for future use in case of any legal cases that may arise.

7. If shortlisted, one has to appear for counseling rounds with original documents/ allotment letters for verification. 

8. Pay all the necessary fees that are charged to complete admission procedures.
