Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Hisar is located in Hisar, the city of Haryana. It provides a number of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in different fields such as Veterinary Sciences, Animal Sciences, Basic Sciences, Dairy Technology and Fisheries. BVSc and AH eligibility entails having obtained 50% marks in the 12th exams in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in CBSE/ICSE or any other state board. The Admission in the B.Tech Dairy Technology takes the score of JEE MAINS, HARYANA CET and AIEEA exam. MSc Zoology candidates may have scores of national level examination such as CUCET or marks in BSc Zoology from a recognized University. MBA (Agri Business) programme accepts CAT/MAT score or marks in BSc Agriculture and allied disciplines.
The University teaches about 30 courses in Veterinary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Science, Basic Science, Agricultural Economics and other fields. Some key courses offered in this university are BVSc and AH, BTech (Dairy Technology), MSc Animal Biotechnology, Masters in Veterinary Science, PhD Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology.

Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar is a state university in Haryana, which offers undergraduate programs in different departments. The BVSc and AH program in the College of Veterinary Sciences requires applicants who passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with PCB and English subjects and have an aggregate of 50%. Only those students who have qualified NEET or any other national / state level test can apply for admission. The B.Tech Dairy Technology program offered by College of Dairy Science and Technology entails the candidate passing the 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects. Only those students who have cleared the national/state level engineering entrance examination can apply for this program. The programmes of BSc Agriculture and BSc Home Science in College of Agriculture are eligible for 10+2 pass in any stream. ICAR AIEEA, HSCS, and state examinations are acceptable.
The University provide various UG courses in Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology, Agriculture, Fisheries Science and Home Science and Basic Science streams. These are BVSc & AH, BTech, BSc and BFSc, streams.
PhD programs are offered in Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences located in Hisar, Haryana, which includes Veterinary Microbiology, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Public Health, Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Livestock Production Management. The minimum requirement for a PhD across departments is a minimum of 55% marks in the master’s degree (50% for SC/ST candidates). UGC/CSIR-NET, ARS-NET, GATE, DBT-JRF, and ICAR-JRF are the entrance exams accepted based on their relevance to the subject. Scholarships are offered to the PhD scholars who successfully complete these examinations.
