MPMSU is one of the state universities of Madhya Pradesh which is located in Jabalpur and the primary area of focus is medical and allied sciences. MPMSU was established in the year 2011 by the Madhya Pradesh state legislature act no 15/2011, and today it has grown as one of the developing medical universities in central India. NAAC has accorded grade ‘A’ to the University and we secured 3.01 CGPA in the same.As per NIRF 2023 ranking the University got 76th rank under medical category. 

The University is having a big bouquet of Medical, Dental, Nursing, Allied Healthcare and Paramedical courses at different levels. The major courses offered by the university include medicine, dentistry, surgery, doctorate in medicine, doctorate in surgery, master of dental surgery, physiotherapy, baccalaureate of science in nursing, biotechnology, bachelor of physiotherapy, audiologists and speech pathologists, bachelor of pharmacy and diploma in pharmacy. The numbers of seats for the MBBS in 2024 are expected to be around 1200 in total. The entrance test for taking admission in these courses is carried out through the university. Some other faculties where education is given by the university includes, pharmacy, physiotherapy as well as occupational therapy. The admission process is conducted in general in the month of May every year and the classes start from the month of September after the completion of the counseling and admission related formalities. For yearly as well as final professional exams, examination schedule is intimated much in advance.

Several Universities in Nigeria including the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Modibbo Adama University of Science and Technology (MAUST) and the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) have had excellent placement records over the years. Some of the well-known recruiting companies and Medic al facilities that have visited MPMSU for campus placement include Apollo Hospitals, Fortis Healthcare, Medanta – The Medicity, BLK Super Speciality Hospital, PSRI Hospital, Metro Hospital, etc. Salary packages have also been varying up to now with the highest being 18 LPA while average being 7-8 LPA. With such a background and close cooperation with the companies the university has been constantly having more than 85 percent placement for the last 3 years. To augment the University is also planning to focus more on the industry links to get the better placement for its students. MPMSU has been improving its rank in terms of growth and quality medical education and will soon be on par with the other best medical institutions in India.
