Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Nagpur is one of the seven autonomous National Law Schools located in Nagpur city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. MNLU Nagpur got its permission from the Bar Council of India, and it got accredited by the University Grants Commission. It has also been accredited by NAAC and it has B++ grade associated with it. There has been an improvement in the NIRF Rankings 2023 for law colleges where MNLU Nagpur was ranked 28th in India.
Under graduate programs provided by the university in law are BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB (Hons) while master and doctoral degree which is LLM, PhD are offered at the post graduate level. It is expected that the admission process for the next academic year, the year 2024 will start from May 2023. MNLU Nagpur has its own entrance test called MNLU-CET which is conducted online for offering admission. The other upcoming examination is the MNLU-CET examination, which is set to be held in June 2023. All applicants are then selected based on the marks secured in the entrance test followed by group discussion and a personal interview.
MNLU Nagpur helps students in getting the best placements among the competition each year. Placement of the students in elite law firms and companies is fully facilitated by the Career Development Cell of the university and reputed law firms and companies of India recruit the students of the university. Regular recruiters are Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB Partners, J Sagar Associates, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors etc. Among the batch placed in 2023 the highest salary package was of 16 LPA and the average salary package was around 7 LPA.
