Maharashtra University of Health sciences (MUHS), Nashik is a Maharashtrian University that aims to provide higher education in the field of health sciences. MUHS was Established in 1998 with the enactment of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, UGC recognised university. It has been providing NAAC B grade and according to NIRF Rankings 2023, it was ranked 76th among universities in India.
MUHS has almost 200 courses in under graduate, post graduate, Doctorate and post graduate diploma levels available in faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Nursing, Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences. The admission is normally conducted in May every year. As for the 2024 batch offerings, the application will be in May 2023. Written entrance test is held in the month of June-July and the counselling and provisional admissions are from August to October. As for assessment, there are two main examinations administered each year, during summer, which usually ranges from April to May, and during winter, which ranges from October to November.
MUHS has helped its students in getting placements and internships through the networks of hospitals, pharma industries, hospitals, clinics and NGO. Some of the major employers are Apollo Pharmaceuticals, Fortis Healthcare, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Torrent Pharma, GSK, Lupin and many others. In terms of placement, the highest salary offered to any student in 2023 was 22 LPA and the average salary offered for Bachelors was between 4-5 LPA and for the Masters programs between 6-12 LPA.
