The Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science & Technology Jaipur popularly known as MGUMS&T Jaipur has been established in the year 1998 and offers various medical and allied healthcare programs in different disciplines. The requirements for the students’ eligibility differ depending on the department and course of study. For MBBS, the candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Accepted exams include NEET. To study BDS, the candidate has to meet the MBBS eligibility plus the NEET score. BSc Nursing takes 10+2 in PCB / PCM with minimum 45% and the candidate must have passed the registration exam conducted by RANM/ANM. M.Sc. Nursing accepts B.Sc. Nursing degree with at least 55% of marks in aggregate. For BPT the candidates should have passed 10+2 with 50% marks and Biology as one of the subjects. For admission in BPharm candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and one of the Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology with minimum 45% marks. The Paramedical and Allied Healthcare diploma programs admit students on the basis of 10+2 in science with minimum 40% total percentage.

The courses offered by Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science & Technology Jaipur include Undergraduate programs offered in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, etc. The parameters of these qualifications are different depending on the department and programs. For admission to MBBS, candidate must pass with 50% in physics chemistry and biology in 12th standard besides clearing NEET. The admission criteria for BDS program includes passing NEET and having minimum of 50% in physics, chemistry and biology in 12th standard. The BSc nursing program required qualification is that one must have physics, chemistry, biology, and English at the 12th level and scores minimum 45% of the total mark of 12th plus must have to qualify the university entrance test. Admission can also be through the scores achieved in the various national level examination such as JEE Main, NEET, and other national/ state level nursing entrance tests. BOT occupational therapy program accepts students with qualifications in physics, chemistry, biology with minimum qualifying average percentage set at 50%. The BASLP program has comparable requirements for eligibility along with qualifying university level examination.
The university provides numerous UG programs in medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, and other related fields. These are MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSc Nursing, BOT, BASLP, BPT, B.Pharm and BSc MLT.
Ph.D. courses in Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Public Health, and Management are available at Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science & Technology Jaipur also known as MGMU. The requirements set for admission to the PhD differ from one department to another. For Pharmacy, the candidate should have a Master’s degree in Pharmacy with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. GPAT, CSIR-NET and Rajasthan PET have been accreditated for admissions in the University. For the post of Physiotherapy, the candidate must possess a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and must have obtained 55% marks. Some of the recognized tests are UGC-NET and Rajasthan PTET. The Nursing PhD program entails the following admission requirements: The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Nursing with at least 55% marks. Valid tests are UGC-NET, Rajasthan Nursing Entrance Test, and ICMR-JRF.
MGMU provides both full time and part time PhD programs in different streams of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Public Health, Hospital Administration, and Management.

The requirements for the admission qualification for the M.B.B.S. at MGMUST is that the candidate must have passed in the 10+2 or equivalent examination with the Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects and English and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects and separately in each of these subjects. The candidate should have also appeared and cleared NEET UG exam or AIIMS UG or JIPMER UG or AFMC Entrance exam or BVP CET UG Medical exam.
