Manonmaniam Sundaranar University also known as MSU is a state university established in the year 1996 at Tirunelveli in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. MSU was set up in 1990 and is affirmed by University Grants Commission and is affirmed by NAAC and has B++ grade. In the NIRF Ranking 2023, MSU was placed in the 101 – 150 category in the list of university in India.
Pursuing the goal of providing quality education, the university provides a great number of educational programs for undergraduates, postgraduates, and researchers in arts, sciences, education, management, law, and many others. Some of the course offered in MSU are B.A, B.Sc etc., B.Com., B.Ed.These include IIT, PMT, AIEEE, CAT, MAT, XAT, MBA, MCA, M.Phil and Ph.D Entrance Examinations are conducted in the months of April and November. The admission process begins in May for regular schemes and merits as well as entrance examination schemes. It is an online process where students apply online and are offered admission based on their performance or on the basis of the university entrance exam. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. There are certain requirements that candidates need to fulfill in order to be eligible for admission, such as having passed the 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board and fulfilling the minimum marks criteria depending on the course. In regard to Bachelors programs, the minimum passing mark is 50% for students throughout the course.
2. The minimum requirement for the Masters program is that the candidate must have a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognized university; minimum marks may differ from program to program but is generally around 50% for most of the programs.
3. Some programmes may have other conditions like possessing entrance test, interview, working experience etc. that the candidates have to meet.
4. Grace marks and relaxation in cut off marks according to government norms have been granted to reserved category candidates.
5. The eligibility for Foreign nationals and NRIs is something which is notified by the university from time to time.
