Marwadi University is a private university which is located in Rajkot, in the Indian state of Gujarat. Indeed, it was founded in 2008 and steadily grew to become one of the best universities in western India. It is also recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and acknowledged by the Government of Gujarat. It has received NAAC accreditation grade ‘A’ and it has secured CGPA 3.11. The university has a strong emphasis on the provision of the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies across faculties of business administration, commerce, science, engineering, pharmacy, computer applications, architecture, interior design and law and much more. Some of the main examinations that the university administers include: semester end tests, supplementary tests, and entrance tests for courses among others. Marwadi University , Gujarat Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidates need to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board for admission to the various programmes with minimum aggregate percentage of marks varying between 50% to 60% as per the courses offered. Merits are earned based on performance in a qualifying examination or entrance test.
2. For most of the BTech programmes, they should have a minimum of 50% marks in their 10+2 level exams with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their subjects. The minimum cumulative grade point average required ranges from 45% to 60% depending on one’s category and type of course.
3. For enrollment in MTech programs, the candidate must have BTech/BE degree with minimum 50% to 60 % marks according to category and branch. This a unique feature as it offers employment opportunity to candidates who have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
4. The basic eligibility criteria for the BBA/MBA programs are that the candidate has to be a graduate from any discipline. Candidates must have minimum 50% aggregate marks as per the current scenario at graduation level. Some of the factors considered include the scores in any of the entrance exams such as the CAT or the MAT. Work experience is preferred.
5. For law programs there are no restricted specialized streams or subject areas for graduation. Minimum of 45% to 55 % qualification required in graduation. Candidates fiing the CLAT/LSAT are given priority.
6. The university provides relaxation in the qualifying marks according to the reservation category and the percentage of marks.
