MANUU is a Central University which is established in Hyderabad, Telangana province. It was set up in 1998 to work for the cause of the promotion and development of Urdu and to provide education in Urdu medium through teaching learning research and extension activities. MANUU has been accredited by NAAC and has received ‘A’ grade in 2022 and as per NIRF ranking 2023 it ranked in between 101- 150 in university category. The university provides all types of undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programs in languages, social sciences, humanities and applied sciences, management, journalism and so on.
MANUU provides several programs in diverse streams such as arts, social sciences, management, sciences, education, journalism and mass communication, etc. Some of the well-known courses are undergraduate courses like BA, BCom, BFA, BJMC, BEd, postgraduate courses like MA, MBA, MCom, MSc and others. The admission process begins in April every year and the university conducts entrance tests for certain programmes like MBA, MCA, B Ed etc. Final examinations are conducted in the May-June period. It also offers admissions that are based on the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying exams and entrance test if any. The classes are typically scheduled to start in the third week of July. Students can obtain application forms online or offline before the last date for its submission as mentioned in the admission advertisement of the university. It is for admission in 2024-25 sessions for which the detail notification will be published on the university’s website by February,2024.
The university has tied up with several companies such as TCS, Tech Mahindra, Concentrix, Byjus and other organizations that provide placements to the students. The maximum salary that was provided by the companies were Rs 10,00,000 per annum in the year 2022. More than 500 students got placed for various posts in different companies in the previous year. The approximate wages scale can be between 3-5 lakhs per annum. The training and placement cell is responsible for conducting campus interviews, guiding students for group discussions and interviews, and helping students in getting suitable internships and jobs in esteemed organizations. In total, MANUU can be regarded as the university with a good employment outlook, which offers a placement rate above 70% for the corresponding programs.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For the undergraduate programs, the candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 50% of the marks in the qualifying examination recognized by the University.
2. For postgraduate programs, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
3. For MPhil and PhD, candidates have to be post graduate with 55 % marks in the subject and also NET/SET or passed the entrance test.
4. While pursuing the diploma and certificate courses, applicants must have 10+2 education pass or any equivalent examination, and the pass percentage of the applicants may vary depends on the courses they choose.
5. As per the norms set by the government for any college or university, 5% marks are relaxed for candidates in any program from the reserved categories.
6. Furthermore, candidates should also meet the requirements required for individual courses, as announced by the university, with regard to the subjects completed, grades attained, tests taken etc.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University also helps students to place themselves in the various reputed organizations. Some of the leading recruiters that seek the services of the facility include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Cognizant. In the last placement drive in the academic session of 2021-22, around 60 companies had visited for recruitment and had placed almost 550 students of the college on various positions for which the highest salary package was 8 lakhs per annum offered by ServiceNow. The approximate pay scale for a candidate ranges from Rs. 3.5- 4 lakhs per annum as a fresher. The college offered placements to around 60% to 65% of its eligible students in IT service based companies and also in core engineering companies through on campus as well as through pool campus in the last year.
