MIT University Shillong is well equipped with Bachelor and Master courses in Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, Commerce, Arts, Science, Law, Design, and Humanities streams. Eligibility criteria changes according to the program and the department in which the student is enrolled. For the BTech courses such as Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, the students have to qualify the Class 12th examination in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics streams and the aggregate percentage should not be less than 60% of the total marks. There are a few exams that are acceptable and they include JEE Mains, MHT CET and WBJEE. The Admission criteria for School of Management Studies for BBA and MBA programmes are as follows: Students should have passed 12th standard with 50% marks. It accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, and NMAT tests for admission into its postgraduate programs. The BDes program offered under the School of Design has a provision for students to clear a design aptitude test and personal interview apart from scoring 50% in Class 12th exam.

Choose the program you wish to pursue and then complete all the fields of the online application form as accurately as possible. Scan and upload the soft copy of the necessary academic credentials such as transcript, marksheets, ID proof, and passport size photograph in the prescribed format.

MIT University Shillong UG Admission 2024

MIT University Shillong provides a number of undergraduate courses in various streams of engineering, science, management, computer applications and many more fields. Candidates who wish to pursue the BTech programs may need to pass the Class 12 in science stream with minimum 60% marks in PCM along with qualifying exams such as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, MITSAT or any state level examination for departments like Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering

For BSc programmes like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and other science courses, they should have passed 12th standard science with 50 % or have passed their NEET or State boards. The BBA and BCA admission requirements are 50 %marks in any stream in class twelfth, alongwith CET/CAT/MAT for BBA, and state level examination for BCA. 

MIT University Shillong PhD Admission 2024

MIT University Shillong provides the opportunities for the students to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy degree programs in the following departments of Engineering, Management, Science, Humanities & Social Sciences. Eligibility criteria differ for each department but the general requirements are Master degree in related field, having minimum 55% marks or CGPA of 6. Certain departments have additional qualifications like GATE / NET qualifications for recruitment as well. For instance, the requirements for PhD eligibility for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering consist of MTech/ME/MSc degree in CS/IT with valid GATE score in the same above the cutoff of the department. CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT scores and Master’s degree with a minimum of 60% are the requirements for admission in the Department of Management. Likewise, for the Physics department, the requirement stated is JEST/NET/GATE qualified, the Chemistry department allows candidates who possess a MSc Degree and 55% marks.
