Mother Teresa women’s university is a state university which is located in Kodaikanal in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. Founded in 1984, it is listed in the UGC list of universities and is accredited with NAAC ‘A’ grade. As per NIRF rankings of 2023, Mother Teresa Women’s University has been placed at 76th position in the ranking of Universities in India.
The university has provided lists of its undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programs of study by school/department or faculty across faculties like Arts, Science, Education, Commerce, Management, Computer Science and many more. Mother Teresa Women's University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Bachelor’s Degree Programs (BA/B.Sc/B.Com etc.) – The candidate passed 10+2 examination or any other examination recognized by the University with minimum 50 % Aggregate Marks. However, there may be other selection criteria that a certain program requires the students to meet.
2. Masters Degree Courses (MA/M.Sc/M.Com etc.) – The candidate should have pursuing bachelors degree in the same stream from a university recognized by the Academic Council of the University with not less than 50% marks. There could also be more specific terms and conditions for enrollment into some programs.
3. M.Phil. Programs - A master degree in the relevant subject from any University recognized by the University Grants Commission with not less than fifty five percent of the maximum marks. entrance test and interview is also held.
4. Ph.D. Programs – Candidates having a Master’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% aggregate marks. Written examination and a personal interview is done. One of the important skills that cannot be done without is the display of research skills.
5. Diploma Programs: Pass in 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination as recognized by the University. Other candidates allowed to apply are those who have a relevant bachelor’s degree.
6. Certificate Programs: The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board. Short term training courses and training activities designed to teach a skill or provide specific training. These norms, in addition to the basic eligibility criteria, apply in some programs.

Mother Teresa Women’s University has its own placement cell and many companies visit the college for ONGC campus recruitment particularly for the final year students. There is a good number of reputed companies like TCS, infosys,CTS, Wipro et cetera every year offer the students for placements. For the year 2022, it was recorded that almost 60% of the campus drive eligible students got placements with the highest salary package of Rs. 7 lakhs per annum offered by the leading analytics firm. The median salary offered to students in clutching industries is approximately Rs 3.5 lakhs per annum. Most of the students get employment in well established IT service sectors while others prefer jobs in education, health care, banks and financial service sectors among others.
