The Educational Administration department provides a 2 years MA course and the eligibility criteria for this course are pass in the bachelor’s degree in any field. UGC NET, GATE and JRF papers are considered as the qualifying examinations for pursuing this course. The Educational Planning department also provides Master of Arts in Educational Planning and Administration which calls for graduation in economics, statistics, education or any social science. Permitted tests are UGC NET in education or management and state TETs. The Policy Research Department provides PG Diploma in Education Policy, minimum qualification is the graduation in any branch along with UGC/CSIR-NET or Teacher Eligibility Test.

The following are the available undergraduate programs in NIEPA. This Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program is under the Department of Training and Capacity Building in Education and the candidate should have passed their 12th standard examination. Eligible entrance examinations are CBSE, ICSE, and several other state level exams. The integrated B.A. B.Ed and B.Sc. B.ED programs of the Teaching Learning Centre admit students who have completed their 12th standard examination in the CBSE and the other state boards with the minimum required percentage.
NIEPA provides undergraduate degrees in education streams such as economics, sociology, Anthropolgy, social work, and development studies. The programs and courses offered in the undergraduate programs are B.Ed in education, BA in economics, BA in sociology, BA in social work, BA/BSc in anthropology and BA/BSc in development studies.
NIEPA New Delhi, offers the PhD program in each of the following departments Elementary Education, Adult Education, Educational Administration, Educational Technology, Economics of Education, Population Education, Women’s Studies and Teacher Education. The requirement for admission into a PhD program across departments at NIEPA is a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks. The standard passing examinations that are considered include UGC NET, UGC JRF, UGC SLET, ICSSR JRF, and CSIR JRF among others. The students are admitted according to their performance in the written examination and interview conducted by NIEPA.
