NIT Arunachal Pradesh is one among the National Institutes of Technology under the Government of India set up in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is accredited by AICTE and recognized by UGC with ‘A’ grade by NAAC and also approved by AIU. The NIRF rankings 2023 have just been released wherein NIT Arunachal Pradesh has been placed at the 96th rank under the engineering stream.
The Institute provides B.Tech of 4-year duration on five disciplines which are – Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering. This also provides M.Tech programs in three specializations and doctorate programs as well. The admission process related to the batch 2024-25 will start in 2024 and the candidate will be selected on the basis of JEE Mains exam. The last admission will be confine through JoSAA counselling and the criteria will include the rank secured in JEE Main, the programme preference and the number of seats available.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For candidates in the general category, who want to apply for admission to BTech programmes, they should have completed their 10+2 exams with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. The norms for BTech admissions for SC/ST category students include at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 10+2 Board examinations.
3. General category candidates must have a BTech/BE from a recognized University with at least 60% aggregate or a valid GATE score to qualify for the MTech programs at NIT Arunachal Pradesh.
4. MTech program eligibility also requires that SC/ST category students should either have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the BTech/BE or they should have to qualify the GATE.
5. Students in general category seeking admission to MSc should possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject attaining 60% of the total marks.
6. The candidates belonging to SC/ST category must possess minimum 55% marks in the relevant subject for obtaining the bachelor’s degree in order to appear in MSc entrance examination.
NIT Arunachal Pradesh Placements 2024
Placements in NIT Arunachal Pradesh have also been ramping up in the recent past. According to the placement records of the academic session, 2024, 77.32% of the students got placed in different companies. Large number of recruiters were from IT sector and they were Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, L&T Construction, IBM. The highest salary package offered was Rs 27 lakh per annum by Microsoft. It had been further found that the average salary package offered to the students was 6.8 lakhs per annum. Some of the main fields which demand students were IT, Construction, manufacturing, Analytics, and Research.
