The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya is situated in Shillongs, Meghalaya. NIT Meghalaya has Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering as its majors offered at the BTech level. It is mandatory for the students to have passed the 12th standard with PCM subjects, and must have secured of 60% to 70% in PCM subjects and have to qualify the entrance exams like JEE Main, MHT CET, etc Apart from the above BTech programs NIT Meghalaya offers MTech degrees in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Energy & Environment Engineering and some integrated degree programs. The MTech program’s admission criteria are that the candidate must possess a BE/BTech degree in the relevant discipline or field.
NIT Meghalaya provides Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctors courses in engineering & sciences including computer science, electrical, electronics, mechanical, civil & energy, environmental, mathematics and physics MSc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and PhD in various disciplines of engineering, science & humanities.
The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya (NIT Meghalaya) the campus is located in Shillong and it has undergraduate and post graduate programs in engineering, sciences and humanities streams. The online process of admission can be done on the official website of NIT Meghalaya while the offline process can be done with the help of the application form downloaded from the site.
Application for admission to NIT Meghalaya can be done through online mode by visiting the website nitmeghalaya.in and filling the details in the form. The students have to then fill the ‘Apply Now’ form which involves giving their name, contact information, education qualifications etc as registration details and then the application form where they have to give their academic, personal and other details asked in the form. Photographs, signatures, and certificates are also required to be uploaded and scanned copies are acceptable. The payment of the application fees is accepted through credit/debit cards and net banking etc.

For the UG programme, NIT Meghalaya has departments such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, among others. The criteria of eligibilities also differ from department to department but on a general note the eligibilities are that the students who are applying for the course should have passed 12th standard or any of its equivalent examinations and should have secured 60-65% in their aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. UG courses admit national level tests like JEE Main paper I, MHT CET, KCET etc. as meeting qualification tests. There are various entrance tests like JEE Mains, MHT CET and many other national as well as state level engineering entrance tests through which B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering takes admissions.
Under Graduate programs Bachelors Degree Programmes are offered by NIT Meghalaya such as Engineering, Sciences and Humanities, Social Sciences etc.
The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya in Shillong also provides different B.Tech degree programs in many fields of engineering departments. The Computer Science and Engineering department B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Some of the norms include passing the 10+2 exam from a recognized board with minimum 75% marks or 65% for SC / ST candidates and must have passed in Science stream. Valid entrance examinations include JEE Main and any other entrance test conducted by any state government in India and approved by MHRD. The Electronics and Communications department is one of the major departments of the institute which provides B.Tech Electronics and communication Engineering and the eligibility criteria for the same is as mention above. The acceptable entrance tests are also JEE Main, OPJE, AECCE, ASSAM CEE, and other state level exams authorized.
