National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli commonly known as NIT Trichy or NIT is a premier Indian institute of technology located in the city of Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu, India which provides various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in different fields of study such as engineering, sciences, management and humanities etc. Some of the preferred choices of BTech courses include Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and the like. NIT Trichy is also known as National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli which comprise of a variety of undergraduate programs in its departments. Under the department of computer science and engineering, the school provides a BTech in computer science and engineering where the eligibility demands an aggregate of 75% and above in physics, chemistry and mathematics. This college accepts JEE Main, KCET, and SAT exams as some of the entrance exams. The electronics and communication engineering department offers a BTech in electronics and communication engineering which considers the JEE Main, SAT, other national/state entrance tests. the requirement for eligibility is 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Eligible entrance exams are JEE Main, JEE Advanced or the Scholastic Assessment Test. The program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a BTech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering for candidates who passed the 12th exams with physics chemistry mathematics aggregate minimum 55% and who appeared for the JEE Main and Advanced. Civil Engineering provides a BTech Civil Engineering system admitting 50% in related subjects in 12th standard, allowing entries through JEE Main, Advanced, and State.
