Chandigarh University Panjab University Chandigarh is a public university in India located in the city of Chandigarh. It is a private university and was founded in the year 1882 therefore, it is one of the oldest universities in India and is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Panjab University receives ‘A’ grade from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and is ranked 38th in NIRF India Rankings. Among the other disciplines, the university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in the fields of sciences, arts, commerce, education, engineering, law and other subjects.
The university also has many campuses and affiliated colleges across Punjab and Chandigarh. Some of the popular courses offered at Panjab University range from B.Tech., BBA., BA., B.Com., MBA., MA., M.Sc., and Integ programs like B.Sc- M.Sc, etc. The university holds semester tests in the months of December and May every year. Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication is available through entrance test by state and centralized levels. The process of application usually starts in the month of May. The deadline of application for entry level courses is end of June while that of postgraduate courses is first week of July for 2024/2025 academic year.

Panjab University Eligibility Criteria 2024
1. Students who have passed at least 50% marks from a recognized board after finishing 10+2 or having an equivalent examination are eligible for most undergraduate programs.
2. Under Graduates should possess an accredited Bachelor’s degree, preferably having 50 percent and above. To add one more these programs like MBA could probably have an additional entrance test.
3. For PhD programs, applicants are expected to fulfill minimum qualifications of holding a postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks. Furthermore, the entrance test for this program will be organized by the Panjab University.
4. Eligibility criteria can be differently set for diploma and certificate level programs. However, the basic requirement for a program is to have passed 10+2 examination with adequate percentage as per program rules.
5. PU also conducts its own examination, which follows a process of entrance selection of students for a number of programs. Meeting the eligibility criteria for purposes of admission does not imply automatic admission.
6. The happened relaxations of the count towards the percentage of eligibility by eligible applicants of reserved category including SC/ST and physically handicapped applicants are bound to follow the government rules.

Panjab University Admission Process 2024
1. Cross-check academic requirements for the selected course - Prospective students are advised to inquire from the university if they satisfy the requirements for the course they aspire to take in terms of qualifying exam scores, subjects.
2. Online application - The application form – which needs to be filled out by the end of the stated deadline and contains some personal and academic information also - needs to be submitted via university website exclusively.
3. Attach documents - Add scanned forms of essential documents in the attachment such as qualifying examination mark sheets, certificates, photos along with the form as per the need.
4. Pay application fees - The particular fees must be paid in non-refundable form online while submitting the application form so as to complete the process.
