Rai Technology University Bangalore provides many courses of bachelors and masters in engineering management, science, commerce, arts and many more. Some of the famous engineering disciplines at RTU are computer science and engineering, IT engineering, electronics and communications engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and Artificial intelligence engineering among others. With regard to the eligibility criteria, it differs with respect to the plan, and for the BTech degree, the students are required to pass 12th exams, preferably from science background with at least 50% marks. Accepted entrance exams at the college level are JEE Main, KCET, and COMEDK. BBA and MBA are the management degrees for which CAT, MAT, XAT or even the university level test are accepted for admission. Science subjects in mathematics, physics, chemistry takes the marks of 12th exams as a criterion, on the other hand, commerce courses in BCom, MCom provides admission on the basis of national/state level tests.
Currently, RTU offers full-time campus courses in nearly 15 streams with nearly 30 specializations. Some of the preferred programs include; Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering. Some of the other courses offered include BBA, MBA, BSc., MSc in Math, Physics, Chemistry, BCom, BA, BCA, MCA and many more. The university includes its very own entrance exam called RTU-CET in May and June each year for engineering and management streams. For other programs, the criteria for admission are the marks a student obtains in his / her 12 th standard examination. For admission, application is available from January and closes in June after which exams are conducted in May and June, counselling takes place in July while senior students begin their classes in August. Seat intakes per branch range between 60 and 180. Companies visiting campus are specifically in IT, core engineering, business analytics, consulting companies providing the placements.
- Based on the experience, it is typical that Rai Tech opens its doors to receive b.sc admission forms in the spring/summer for the fall intake. Its application is normally due in August/September.
- For admission in this course, one has to pass 10+2 or equivalent examination in science stream with minimum pass marks. However, there may be differences in specific b.sc programs and their requirements.
- There are b.sc programs in computer science, electronics, visual communication, microbiology, biotechnology and other faculties are offered by the university, the students have to apply in the course in which they want to join.
- The selection of the candidate depends on the 10+2 examination or on the entrance examinations being conducted. Certain courses have eligibility tests such as KCET, COMEDK for the admission process of the respective courses.
- Finally, once admitted, students must clear up other forms and pay their fees, etc before the start of the classes within the stipulated time.
1. Visit university’s official website at www.rait.ac.in to find out courses offered that include B.Sc. The list of programs and its corresponding requirements for admission or enrollment should also be listed. Common programs include B.Sc. in Computer Science Information Technology etc.
2. Go to the ‘Admissions’ section and then choose the academically program of your choice. This will lead you to the page with the online application form.
3. Fill in all the boxes in the application form everyone including the personal information, educational background, scores, phone contacts, and others.
4. The following documents should be uploaded as required: Scans of relevant academic documents as per the requirements. This generally comprises class 10th and 12th standard certificates, marks statements, school leaving certificate etc.
5. The payment of the application fee should be done by online mode such as through credit card/debit card/net banking etc. It will be clarified as to what the fee amount entails and any other payment information that is required.
6. Ensure that all entered details have been input correctly by cross checking the form before submitting it.
7. After completing and submitting the application form, it will automatically generate a copy of the completed application for the candidate to print and save for future use.
8. If made a list, the university will contact you to proceed through the counseling rounds and the admission process.
- The requirement for availing MBA admission are undergraduate’s bachelor’s degree, entrance test score (CAT/MAT), work experience, etc.
- It is always advisable to apply for an MBA several months before the onset of an academic year which begins in July/August. In as much as some colleges have a fixed term, many of them open their windows for application from October to March for the following academic year.

- Tasks accomplished through the group discussion round and the personal interview round with RTU.

8. In case get selected, fulfill admission procedures by paying required fees on time, produce original documents for checking and paperwork according to the RTU norms for enrollment.
