Rama University Kanpur offers several programs in under graduate and post graduate level in numerous disciplinary area such as Engineering & Technology, Management, Basic & Applied Sciences, Education, Law, Journalism & Mass Communication, Pharmacy etc. There are differences when it comes to the conditions for eligibility with respect to various courses. BTech requirements For B Tech, one has to clear twelfth with Physics, chemistry, and Mathematics and have a minimum of 50% aggregate. Competitive entrance exams to be taken are JEE Main, UPSEE, RUEEET. As for MBA, any graduate from any stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate can apply. It accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT as standard tests that an aspirant can write for that year’s admission. BSc programs are available for 12th SCIENCE STREAM students with min 45% marks. Both BA and BCom programmes are open to 12th pass from any stream with pass marks.
The university has made available examination dates and admission calendar for different programs that are expected to start early 2024. For the B.Tech and M.Tech programs, the admissions will begin in May in the next year. It is necessary to appear in JEE Main 2024 and UPSEE 2024 for the candidates who applied for it. Starting from MBA admission in March 2025, the scores of CAT 2023 and MAT February 2024 will be considered valid. For BSc admissions, there will be cutoffs based on the PCM percentage of the 12th standard and the entrance exam will start from second week of May 2023. As for the entrance tests for admission to BA/BCom courses, it will be conducted in the last week of May 2023. This form needs to be duly filled and submitted along with the entrance examination fee which has to be submitted one month before the entrance test by online or offline mode for all the UG and PG level courses offered under all the streams such as engineering, architecture, science, arts, education, law, journalism, pharmacy, commerce etc. Admission will be done on merit, this will involve the scores of the candidate in the national or university level entrance exams and then counseling.

- The admission depends on the candidate’s performance in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination. The first significant step is to clear the UPSEE examination to get the admission in the university.
- This must be done after clearing the UPSEE examination and a counseling session is conducted when the candidates are required to fill in their choices of colleges and branches of engineering. They are then allocated by counselling depending upon UPSEE ranks, availability of the seats and choices filled by the candidates.
- From this, one can directly apply under management quota for which there is direct admission on the basis of 10+2 percentage. For admission into the course 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics is compulsory with a minimum percentage of 60% (55% for SC/ST) for the candidates to be considered.
- For admission of lateral entry to 2nd year of B. Tech, the candidates are required to have a valid diploma certificate. To get into the programme, candidates should scored 60% (55% for SC/ST) in the diploma course.
- There are also the Management quota seats, NRI quota seats and so on for which the selection process and fee structure are nominal.

3. You will be taken to the page that has the online application form. Register on website as a student and enter all the required personal information, academic records, contact data etc. proper.
4. Upload scanned images of photograph and signature along with Class 10 and 12 mark sheets as per the standards prescribed above.
5. Pay electronically for the application fee using net banking, credit card, debit card, etc.
6. Please read the instruction of the B.Tech application form before proceeding with the submission.
7. Upon submission, the user gets a confirmation page where some of the information entered is displayed, including an application reference number, etc., which the user should print for future use.
8. If you have been shortlisted, you will be informed of the counseling rounds in accordance with the timelines. Being that counseling is a process to complete the admission process, attend counseling as assigned to the schedule.
9. Encase all the original documents such as certificates, mark sheets, undertaking forms etc. for the final round of admission.
