Samarth Polytechnic is one of the most renowned technical colleges that is situated in Pune city of Maharashtra state. Except it was established in the year 1983, it is recognized by AICTE government of Maharashtra and directorate of technical education (DTE). The diploma programs offered in college require the Maharashtra CET Diploma entrance exam for students to qualify for admission. However, direct admission to Samarth Polytechnic is also done based on the percentage obtained in JEE Main.

1. Completed their 10th standard (SSC) or equivalent exam from a recognized board of education.

2. Candidates passed out in the year 2009 are required to have obtained minimum 45% aggregate marks for open category students and 40% for reserved category students in 10th standard.  

3. Learners must not be over 23 years of age at the time of entry into the program. It is a government organisation so wherever required age relaxation is awarded as per the norms.

4. It is mandatory that the students should have passed 10th standard and must have done English, Maths and Science.

5. For diploma programs which are associated with agriculture applicant must have passed the subject related to agriculture in their 10th standard.

6. Entrance exam will also be set for applicants and they must take it in the polytechnic of their choice. Employment will be done with consideration of the merit of the applicants.
