The Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies is situated in Sanchi, Madhya Pradesh in India. It was established in 2013 after the legislation by the Madhya Pradesh state assembly, it is the unique university in India specialized in Buddhist and Indic studies. The university is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and is also recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It has also been accredited grade ‘A’ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Sanchi University has been ranked 75th among universities in India in the NIRF rankings of the year 2023.
The university has several graduate, postgraduate, and research programmes spread across faculties such as Buddhist Studies, Indic Knowledge Systems, Comparative Religion, Philosophy, Languages and Social Sciences. Some of the known courses are Masters in Buddhist Studies, Hindu Studies, Sanskrit Computational Linguistics, and Cultural Heritage & Tourism.
The university has observed that more and more companies/organizations involved in tourism, culture & heritage management have been visiting the university for campus placements in the last few years. Some of the recruiting organizations are Archaeological Survey of India, State Tourism Departments, Museum Consultancy firms, Academic Institutions etc. The highest salary offered by the organizations was up to 8 LPA.

Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies Bhopal has a proper placement cell that deals in internships and placements of the students in different courses. Biggest employers are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant and so on. The maximum salary offered till now is 18 lakhs per annum, which is offered by TCS.
