Shri Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati is also a public university established in the state of Maharashtra. It was set up in the year 1983 and has NAAC accreditation and currently holds a B++ grade as per the NAAC 2017 rankings. As per NIRF ranking in 2023, it was placed in 151 out of Universities in India. The university has wide and varied undergraduate, post graduate, diploma, post graduate diploma, doctoral and training programmes in the faculties of humanities, sciences, engineering, education, Pharmacy etc. The university manages over 250 teaching and affiliated colleges in the districts of Amravati, Akola, Buldhana, Washim and Yavatmal.
