The institute of repute is Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) located in Sangrur, Punjab, which is an autonomous institute and provides under graduate and post graduate programs in various fields of engineering. The bachelor’s degree programmes available include mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Textile Technology. The basic admission criteria for all these B.Tech programs are one has to pass class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and securing 60% aggregate marks. The procedure to get admission to different under graduate and post graduate programs at SLIET Sangrur for the year 2024 are: Online application form can be filled up in February-April 2023 Along with this B.Tech admission are taken through JEE Main 2023 and M.Tech/MCA admissions are taken through GATE 2023. The counselling will be conducted in the month of June-July 2023 for the institute level tests. The annual academic session will begin in July of 2023. It also provides information on some of the key dates such as the JEE Main 2023 exam in January-February 2023, GATE 2023 exam in February 2023, and JEE Main and GATE score releases in March-April 2023. It has been given that the entrance examination for MBA at SLIET and admission to B.Tech courses directly will commence in May-June 2023. The final list of students offered admission is released in June 2023 before the 2024 academic year begins in July.

2. Academic Merit: For merit based admissions, the valid score in class XII board examination are considered, where the minimum percentage for general category students is 60% and for ST/SC category students is 55%.
