Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University is a state University involved in agricultural education located in Gujarat, India. It was established in the year 1972 and has received an ‘A’ accreditation from the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The NIRF rankings for SDAU in the year 2023 were at 51 among agricultural universities in India. 

In terms of academic programs, the university is involved in the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the area of agriculture with various specialization options. Some of the major course offered include BSc Agric, Food Processing Technology, Horticulture, Forestry among others, MSc and PhD. Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. As per the eligibility criteria of BSc programs, candidates should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Maths with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PH category).

2. For B. Tech candidates the requirement is that 12th with PCM as subjects and having minimum 50% marks in PCM (45% for reserved category). 

3. The admission criteria for MSc programs require that the candidate should have passed BSc Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry or any related bachelors degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).  

4. For MTech programs, the candidates have passed BTech/ BE in Agriculture Engineering/ Food Tech/ Dairy Tech with minimum 50 % marks (45% for reserved categories) at graduate level.

5. For admission in PhD programs, the mandatory criteria are that the candidate must have a master’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 55 % marks (50% for reserved category) at the master’s level.  

6. Concession of 5% marks in eligibility criteria is given to candidates of Gujarat domicile or SDAU university staff ward.

Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University SDAU in Gujarat, provides various facilities for the degree courses namely, under graduate and post graduate in agricultural science, renewable energy and related fields. 

The SDAU was founded in 2003 and is composed of four integrated colleges encompassing College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Information Technology, College of Renewable Energy and Environmental Engineering, and College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.

Students can study for a BSc in Agriculture, Food Technology and Renewable Energy, Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology and other related courses which take 4 years. It also provides master’s degree of 2 years in different specializations under the major faculties and 3 years of doctoral programme in the same faculties.

Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU) has a placement cell that helps student to avail interviews for final year students. With regard to placement, more than 75 organizations were successfully placed in the campus placement of the season 2021-22, the highest salary package were Rs 18 lakhs per annum offered by Reliance. The median salary package that was offered to the new batches of students was around Rs 4.2 lakhs per annum.
