The School of Correspondence Karnatak University Dharwad offers correspondence courses in arts, science, commerce and management streams. The eligibility criterion is not the same for all the courses. For BA, the candidates should have passed 10+2 in any stream. As for the BCom program, the applicants must pass the 10+2 examinations with maths and business maths subjects. To become eligible for BBA it is mandatory to pass 10+2 examination with 40% marks in aggregate from any recognized board. BCA course admits students with 10+2 pass with maths as one of the subjects. Graduation in any discipline for admission to MA, MCom and MSc courses is the eligibility criterion among students. Karnatak University Dharwad’s School of Correspondence offers distance learning courses in B.A, B.Com, B.Sc and B.B.A. The eligibility criterion differs according to the various UG degree courses offered by the University. Admission requirements for BA degree require the candidate to have completed their 12th examination in arts/humanities stream with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized board. Mark sheets of various examinations like, CBSE, ICSE, state boards etc., are considered valid. The 12th pass in commerce stream from a recognized university is must for BCom and one should secure at least 50 percent marks. For BSc degree, a pass in 12th Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 55% of marks is obligatory. As such for BBA degree the applicant needs to be a 12th pass in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

The School of Correspondence Karnatak University Dharwad offers the PhD programs in various faculties like Arts, Commerce, Business Management Education and Science. Departmental requirements for a PhD admission are as follows. For admission to PhD in Arts, candidate must have a postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. The entrance test that will be considered valid include UGC NET/SET, UGC-JRF, or KSET. PhD in Commerce and Business Management Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in the relevant specialization with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate. The accepted test are UGC NET in Commerce/Management, SET in Commerce/Management subjects. The Education department endorses its candidates based on their postgraduate degree in Education with at least 50% marks in aggregate along with entrance exams such as UGC NET in Education or KSET in Education. In the Science department, postgraduates in the relevant science discipline with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and qualified in UGC CSIR NET JRF or UGC NET will be considered.
