SGT University is a private university which is situated at Gurugram of Haryana state in India. This university was founded in 2013, and it got the recognition of the UGC, AICTE, COA, BCI, INC, and other known institutions. SGT University has been accredited with an ‘A’ grade from NAAC which proves the standard and quality education imparted in the university. In the NIRF rankings of 2023, SGT University has secured the position of 131st among all the universities present in India.

SGT University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate for general candidates and 45 % in case of SC/ST category. 

2. For admission in undergraduate programs, the candidate must have completed 12th or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognized board. In addition to that, admission to specific programs may come with other requirements.

3. For post graduate programs, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) from any university recognized by the university. 

4. This may depend with the specific course, where one may be required to qualify in entrance test such as for MBA – CAT/MAT, for engineering- GATE, for law – CLAT among others. 

5. There may be exceptions regarding marks for candidates belonging to defense/PWD categories as per government rules and regulations.

6. That is, candidates who are awaiting their final year undergraduate examination results can also apply in anticipation of final results provided that they will meet the final requirement set by the university.

SGT University follows a very successful placement policy and many national and multinational companies visit the campus for recruitment. Some of the major corporate recruiters include Infosys, Wipro, TATA Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Accenture and the list is endless. The Microsoft offered the highest salary package of 16 lakhs per annum and the average number of companies offering packages of 5-7 lakhs per annum. The university also confirmed the placements of more than 85% of students across all disciplines including Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Law etc The few major recruiter employers apart from IT sectors for management positions include Dabur, Hero Motocorp, HDFC Bank, Shriram Group, Nestle India, Decathlon etc paid an average of 6.5 lakh per annum to the university.
