Shobhit University, Gangoh is a privately funded university situated in Meerut, up state of India. The institution was established in 2009, and it has been accredited by the university grant commission and accredited by AICTE. The university currently has an accreditation from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) which has given it a Grade ‘A’. As per NIRF Ranking 2023 declared recently, Shobhit University has been ranked at 101-150 in the University Category in India.  

The university teaches a diverse curriculum through various faculties including engineering, computer applications, natural sciences, business administration, and life sciences. Some of the offered programs are B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, B.Sc, M.Sc and other combined programmes like biotechnology and BBA-MBA. The admission is normally taken between April and May of every year. The admission for BTech is strictly merit based through national / state level entrance test like JEE Main, UPSEE etc. For other courses, one has to take Shobhit University Entrance Test (SUET) and then counselling. 

Shobhit University has been known to provide a better placement record wherein more than 500 companies approach the university every year for recruitment. The following are the top recruiters of the IT industry in this region Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Dell, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and CGI. In 2023, more than 80 percent of the students who appeared for the Campus Placements were successfully placed and the highest package offered was INR 18 LPA. The minimum and maximum salaries have always remained between 4-6 LPA. The major domains where hiring is done are Information technology/software, manufacturing/production, education/research, healthcare and banking/financial services/insurance.
